Freddy was excited to start kindergarten. He had been looking forward to it for weeks. But he was also a little bit nervous. He didn’t know anyone in his class, and he didn’t know what to expect.
On the first day of school, Freddy’s mom walked him to school. He was so excited that he could barely contain himself. He couldn’t wait to meet his new teacher and his new classmates.
When they got to school, Freddy’s mom helped him find his classroom. Then she gave him a big hug and told him to have a good day. Freddy waved goodbye to his mom and walked into the classroom.
The classroom was full of other kids, and Freddy felt a little bit shy. He didn’t know what to say or do. But then the teacher, Ms. Smith, called out to him.
“Welcome, Freddy,” she said. “Why don’t you come and sit down next to Sarah?”
Freddy walked over to Sarah and sat down next to her. Sarah smiled at him and said, “Hi, Freddy. I’m glad you’re here.”
Freddy smiled back. He was starting to feel a little bit better. He knew that he would make friends in no time.
Ms. Smith started the day by introducing herself and the other students to each other. Then she showed them around the classroom and told them about the rules.
After that, they started their first lesson. They learned about the alphabet and how to write their names. Freddy was a little bit confused at first, but Ms. Smith was patient and explained everything clearly.
By the end of the day, Freddy was feeling tired but happy. He had made some new friends, and he had learned a lot. He couldn’t wait to come back to school the next day.
The next few weeks went by quickly. Freddy loved going to school. He learned a lot, and he made even more friends. He even got to read his first book!
One day, Ms. Smith read the class a story about a little boy who was afraid to go to school. Freddy could relate to the story, and he was glad that he wasn’t the only one who was nervous about starting school.
After the story, Ms. Smith talked to the class about how to overcome their fears. She told them that it was okay to be nervous, but that they shouldn’t let their fear stop them from doing things that they wanted to do.
Freddy thought about what Ms. Smith said, and he realized that she was right. He shouldn’t let his fear of school stop him from having fun and learning.
From that day on, Freddy was no longer afraid of school. He knew that he could do anything he set his mind to, and he was excited to see what the future held.
