Listen to “Owl Babies” on Spreaker.
High in a tall tree in the heart of the magical forest, there lived three little owl babies named Sarah, Percy, and Bill. Every night, snuggled in their cozy nest, they listened to their mother’s stories of the moon and the stars.
One night, as the silver moon hung low in the sky, their mother whispered, “I have to go and find some food, my little ones. But I’ll be back before you know it.”
Sarah, the oldest and the bravest of the trio, nodded confidently. “We’ll be fine, Mommy.”
With a loving call, their mother spread her wings and flew into the night. But as time went on, the moon climbed higher, and the stars shined brighter, the little owls began to move around.
“I want my mommy,” Percy said, his voice soft and unsure.
“I miss her too,” Bill said, his round eyes filled with worry.
Sarah blinked her big eyes, trying to hold back her own fears. “Don’t worry, guys. Mommy said she’ll come back.”
Yet, as the night deepened and the forest around them grew quieter, even Sarah’s confidence became unsure. She blinked away a tear and shuffled closer to her siblings.
Just then, a gentle breeze rustled through the leaves, carrying with it the soothing whispers of the night. The forest seemed to come alive with the secret melodies of the darkness.
“Listen,” Percy said, his eyes wide with wonder. “It’s like the forest is talking to us.”
Bill nodded, his fear going away with each rustle of leaves. “Maybe Mommy is telling us that she’ll be back soon.”
Sarah smiled through her tears. “You guys are right. Let’s listen to the forest and wait for Mommy.”
As they huddled together, the sound of wings reached their ears. The little owls became excited, their hearts racing with hope.
And there she was, their mother, her eyes bright with love and her feathers softly shining in the moonlight. “I’m back, my little ones,” she cooed, her voice like a soothing melody.
“We missed you!” they cried in unison, their wings fluttering with excitement.
Their mother settled in the nest, pulling them close under her warm feathers. “Remember, no matter how big the night may seem, I’ll always come back to you.”
As the moon covered the forest in a gentle glow, the owl family shared a comforting silence. The leaves rustled, and the night whispered tales of love and togetherness.
And so, as the owl babies drifted off to sleep, they knew that no matter what adventures the night held, their mother’s love would guide them through every moonlit journey.
The end!
