Easter Bunny’s Lost Basket…

The sun had just begun to rise over Meadow Hollow, painting the sky in soft shades of pink and gold. It was Easter morning, and the Easter Bunny, known as Benny, was hopping through the fields, his heart filled with excitement. His basket was packed with colorful eggs, each one decorated with swirls, dots, and sparkles. It was his favorite day of the year—time to deliver Easter joy to all the children!

But as Benny reached into his sack for the first egg, his paws met… nothing.

“Oh no! My basket! Where is it?” Benny gasped, his fluffy ears drooping. His basket full of eggs was gone!

The Search Begins…

Benny hopped in circles, looking all around. “I must have left it somewhere! But where?”

Just then, Emily and Daniel, two curious kids from the village, spotted him. “Benny, what’s wrong?” Emily asked.

“My basket is missing! I can’t deliver Easter eggs without it!” Benny said, his whiskers twitching with worry.

“Don’t worry! We’ll help you find it!” Daniel said. “Let’s retrace your steps. Where were you last?”

Clue #1: The Flower Patch…

Benny scratched his head. “I stopped at the flower patch to pick a few daisies. Maybe I left it there!”

The three hurried to the flower patch, where bright tulips and daffodils swayed in the breeze. A little squirrel named Nibbles peeked out from behind a bush.

“Nibbles, did you see my basket?” Benny asked.

The squirrel twitched his tiny nose. “I saw you here earlier, Benny! But all you carried were flowers. No basket!”

Benny sighed. “Then I must have left it somewhere else!”

Clue #2: The Wishing Well…

Emily snapped her fingers. “Where else did you go?”

“Oh! The wishing well! I stopped there to make a wish for a happy Easter for everyone!” Benny said.

They rushed to the stone wishing well in the middle of the meadow. Benny peered inside. Splash!

“It’s not in there!” Benny sighed.

A friendly bluebird fluttered down. “I saw you here, Benny! You made your wish and then bounced away—without your basket.”

“Oh dear,” Benny groaned. “Where did I go next?”

Clue #3: The Windy Hill…

Daniel pointed. “Think hard, Benny! Where was the last place you remember having it?”

Benny’s ears perked up. “The Windy Hill! I climbed it to get a better view of the village before delivering the eggs! Maybe the wind blew my basket away!”

The three friends raced to the top of the Windy Hill, where the breeze rustled the grass. Suddenly, Emily’s sharp eyes spotted something colorful at the bottom of the hill. A trail of eggs!

“Look! The eggs must have fallen out!” Emily cried.

They followed the trail, picking up eggs along the way, until they reached a hollow log. Inside sat the missing basket!

“Hooray!” Benny cheered. “We found it!”

Easter Is Saved!

Just then, a small giggle came from inside the log. A tiny bunny peeked out, his nose twitching. “I’m sorry! The wind blew the basket, and I thought it was a gift for me. I didn’t mean to take it!”

Benny smiled warmly. “It’s okay! There are enough eggs for everyone! Would you like to help us deliver them?”

The little bunny’s eyes lit up. “Really? I’d love to!”

And so, with Emily, Daniel, and their new bunny friend, Benny delivered Easter eggs to all the children in Meadow Hollow. The morning had started with worry, but thanks to teamwork and kindness, Easter was saved!

As they finished the last delivery, Benny beamed. “This turned out to be the best Easter ever!”

The End!
