Listen to “Christmas Story -The Cursed Snow Globe” on Spreaker.

On a frosty Christmas Eve, in the attic of an old cottage, Mia and her younger brother Liam stumbled upon a dusty box marked “Do Not Open.” Being curious kids, they couldn’t resist taking a peek.

Inside, they found a beautiful snow globe. It had a miniature village inside, complete with tiny houses, a skating pond, and a sparkling Christmas tree. When Mia gave it a shake, the snow swirled like a winter storm, and a soft glow lit up the glass.

“Wow!” Liam whispered. “It’s magical.”

But as soon as the glow faded, a deep, mysterious voice echoed from the globe.

“Who dares awaken the curse?”

Mia and Liam froze. “Did it just talk?” Liam asked, eyes wide.

Suddenly, the room around them began to change. They found themselves standing in the middle of the village inside the snow globe!

“Where are we?” Mia asked, clutching Liam’s hand.

The villagers, who were as tiny as toy figurines, looked up at the children in awe. One of them, a man in a red coat, stepped forward.

“You’ve entered the world of the Cursed Snow Globe,” he said. “We’ve been trapped here for a hundred years, unable to celebrate Christmas because of the Frost King’s spell.”

“Frost King?” Liam asked.

The man nodded. “He’s the ruler of this world and the one who cast the curse. No one can leave or celebrate Christmas until the curse is broken.”

Mia felt determined. “How can we break the curse?”

The man pointed to a glittering ice castle in the distance. “Inside the castle is a magical crystal that powers the snow globe. If you can return it to the Christmas tree in the village square, the curse will be lifted.”

Without hesitation, Mia and Liam set off toward the castle. The path was treacherous, with icy winds howling and snow drifts blocking their way. But the siblings worked together, climbing over snowbanks and cheering each other on.

When they reached the castle, its doors creaked open as if inviting them in. The Frost King sat on a throne of ice, his piercing blue eyes staring at them.

“What do you want?” he demanded.

“We’ve come to lift the curse,” Mia said bravely. “Christmas belongs to everyone, not just you.”

The Frost King laughed coldly. “You think you can take the crystal? Prove your worth by solving my riddle.”

Liam whispered nervously, “I’m not good at riddles!”

Mia squeezed his hand. “We’ll figure it out together.”

The Frost King spoke:

I’m not alive, but I grow.
I don’t have lungs, but I need air.
What am I?

The siblings thought hard. Then Liam’s face lit up. “A fire!”

The Frost King’s eyes narrowed. “Correct. But the crystal is protected by ice that only the warmest heart can melt. Let’s see if you’re up to the challenge.”

He led them to a frozen pedestal where the crystal was encased in ice. Mia touched it, and to her surprise, the ice began to crack.

“You’ve shown bravery and kindness by coming this far,” the Frost King admitted. “Perhaps Christmas should belong to everyone after all.”

With a wave of his icy hand, he released the crystal. Mia and Liam raced back to the village and placed the crystal on top of the Christmas tree.

The village lit up with golden light, and the snow globe began to shake. Suddenly, Mia and Liam were back in the attic, holding the snow globe.

“It worked!” Liam said, grinning.

The snow globe’s glow faded, and the voice spoke again. “Thank you for freeing us. May your Christmas be filled with magic and joy.”

That Christmas morning, Mia and Liam felt a little extra warmth in their hearts, knowing they had saved an entire village and brought Christmas back to the Cursed Snow Globe.

The end!
